Infant Bereavement
The first mention of this project was in 1996. The project was designed to provide handmade bereavement clothing (gowns), as well as other mementos, for the burial of deceased newborns at Akron area hospitals. The project began in 1997 with Becky Davis and Carolyn Humston as the first co-chairmen. The gown pattern was created, items were made, and the completed kits were assembled and delivered to the hospitals to be available upon need. The project continues in 2007 with Genny Petit as the current chairman.
