Clothing Center — Christ Child Society of Akron

Christ Child Society of Akron Clothing Center partners with principals and counselors within Akron Public Schools and Charter schools to provide new school clothes to children in need.

Children receive clothing orders, each bundle carefully selected to meet practical needs and restore a sense of normalcy: two pairs of pants and three shirts for school, three undershirts, six pairs of socks and underwear, a warm coat with gloves and a hat for cold days and age-appropriate toiletries—toothbrush, toothpaste, and deodorant when needed. School personnel express relief and gratitude, knowing these essentials ease daily routines, boost children’s confidence, and help them feel prepared and respected as they head to school and play.

In the 2025-2026 school year, our clothing center fulfilled and delivered 994 clothing orders.

Clothing orders are fill throughout the year by our members.
At our center, members order and organize clothing so orders can be easily filled.
When orders are complete, members volunteer to deliver them to local schools.
